FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

  • Bridport Charter Fair will descend on the town, celebrating the granting of both the Market Charter and Citizen’s Charter with a day of entertainment, information and demonstration in Bucky Doo Square, South Street and the arts centre.   • A jumble sale will be held at Bridport United Church Hall from 10am. Entry is 20p and children are free.

 

  • The Angry Birds Movie 2 (PG) will eb shown at Bridport Electric Palace at 11am. For more information and tickets, visit electricpalace.org.uk

 

  • ‘The Fountains of Versailles’ - Enjoy an afternoon of French music performed by Anne Scolding-Perrett on clarinet and Clare Sydenham on piano at The Salt House, West Bay, from 3pm. Tickets cost £9 for adults on the door and those under 16 are free.

 

  • A charity disco from DJ Ayvin will take over The Hub in Lyme Regis from 8pm. Expect a mix of jazz, soul, disco, reggae, world, remixes and electronica. Tickets cost £8 and are available from Lyme Regis Tourist Information Centre.

 

  • The Skalatans will be performing at The Woodman from 9pm, with a mix of ska, Latin, reggae and more.

 

  • Rock classics will be played loud and proud when K’Fuffle perform at the Crown Inn from 10pm.

 

  • ‘Musical chameleon’ Andrew Hurst will perform from 9.15pm at The Ropemakers.

 

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29

  • The Nags Head in Lyme Regis will be hosting a harvest home fundraising auction from 4pm. there will be some great prizes up for grabs, including local produce, hampers and items donated by local businesses. Raffle tickets will also be on sale and all funds raised will go towards Lyme Regis Christmas Lights.

 

  • The South West Organ Society’s series of autumn concerts continue with flutists Sophie Brewer, Jennifer Campbell and Ruth Molins, who will play a mix a classical, folk and film music at Lyme Regis Parish Church from 3pm. it’s free with a retiring collection.

 

  • Bridport’s Vintage Market will be at St Michael’s Trading Estate in the Art and Vintage Quarter from 10am to 4pm. As well as stalls outside, many of the business will be open for business.

 

  • The Ropemakers monthly craft market will take place from 10am to 2pm, highlighting the many talents of local artisan makers.

 

  • Enjoy an afternoon of acoustic music with Andy and Mark of Gut and steel at the Crown Inn from 4pm.
