Do you think there is ever any excuse for not wearing a seatbelt in a car?
Dorset Police's No Excuse Team doesn't believe so, but some of the county's drivers have tried to wriggle their way out of trouble with some bizarre excuses.
One motorist said: "I just had a spray tan applied, I don't want to smudge it."
Another told officers: "I have been driving since before the law said you had to have one."
One driver didn't want to wear their seatbelt because they didn't want a black mark on their white t-shirt.
A vehicle was even stopped due to the children in it not wearing seat belts, but the driver's explanation was: "They're not my children."
One motorist was worried that wearing a seatbelt could get in the way of their love life: "It leaves red marks on my neck and my girlfriend thought I was getting love bites."
