A woman in her 50s was rescued after she fell from a coastal path on Portland into brambles.
It was reported by the coastguard that the local woman fell from the path by the pumping station off the High Street in Southwell.
The ambulance service called for assistance from the Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team at about 6.45pm yesterday because the paramedics could not reach her.
Coastguard teams managed to get the woman away from danger and into the care of the ambulance service by about 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "Paramedic teams treated the female and took her onto hospital for further treatment."
