Dorset Architectural Week is back and there is plenty of buildings across west Dorset to check out.

From Friday until Sunday, September 22, a range of events celebrating the county’s rich architectural heritage are taking place.

Lyme Regis Cemetery Chapel will be open on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Bridport Town Hall will be open every day, except Sundays from 10am to 4pm and take a tour around Lyme Regis Town Mill - booking essential at townmill.org.uk.

Visit the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs and St Ignatius and Weld Memorial Chapel at Chideock between 2pm and 4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, explore Beaminster Museum on September 14, 17, 19 and 21 between 10.30am and 4pm or 2pm and 4.3pm on September 15 and 22, with West Bay Discovery Centre open on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

The Guildhall in Lyme Regis will be open to the public on September 15, 21 and 22 from 10am to 5pm, a guided tour of Mapperton House will be given on September 20, which should be booked at mapperton.com, Bridport LSi will have an open day on September 21 from 11am to 4.30pm and Bridport Quaker Meeting House in South Street will be open from 11.30am to 4pm on September 21.
