A scuba diver got into trouble after suffering from an injury out at sea.
West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team was called to reports of a woman who required assistance from the pontoons in West Bay Harbour.
The ambulance service was already at the scene but required assistance.
A spokesman for the coastguards said: “The casualty who was part of a scuba diving group was suffering the effects of a childhood injury and required assistance from the dive boat back to the car park.
“Officers attended the scene and the casualty was assisted to the ambulance.
“The team then stood down to return to the station.”
He added: “Stay safe on the coast, but if you find yourself in difficulty or if you see something which gives you cause for concern then do not hesitate dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
