Lovers of photography are being invited to join like-minded people and share tips and ideas.

Members of Bridport Camera Club will be holding their opening night next week, introducing the programme of events coming up.

On September 25, the group will welcome photographer Homer Sykes who will give a talk on his 50 years capturing British life and customs. Some of his work can be seen in the V&A permanent collection.

Other events include a talk by landscape and nature photographer Nigel Hicks, an introduction to nature skills course by Colin Varndell, a talk by Maria Falconer FRPS, a professional dance and performance photographer, a monochrome skills session and a practical evening with cameras and low lighting.

Anyone who loves photography, whatever their experience, type of camera or area of interest is welcome to join the group. The first visit is free and annual membership costs £30.

The opening night takes place on Wednesday, September 11 at Bridport Town Hall at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
