Two people were rescued by a fellow local sailor after their engine failed while at sea.
The Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team was sent to Portland Marina after being made aware of reports of a catamaran which had engine problems due to over heating.
The crew of a local boat called 'Kitty Wake 2' managed to tow the catamaran back to the shore.
Both passengers of the catamaran were found to be safe and well and the coastguard rescue team returned to the station.
