DORCHESTER Town boss Callum Brooks felt the Magpies’ 3-0 BetVictor Southern Premier South loss at Truro City was a misleading scoreline.
Harlain Mbayo, Luke Jephcott and ex-Magpie Noah Keats all netted to leave Dorchester licking their wounds on a near 300-mile round-trip.
But Brooks, who saw his side test home keeper James Hamon through Tom Blair seconds before the lethal second goal, felt the result had been harsh on the Magpies.
He told Echosport: “We came up against a side that was a step up from (Beaconsfield).
“We came up against a powerful side, they defended excellently, but the positives are that for the first half an hour of the second half we were well on top, we just lacked a cutting edge.
“Obviously it’s one of those games where the second goal kills you.
“Although on paper it looks like a heavy-ish defeat, I think 3-0 is a bit unfortunate.”
