Two industrial units at the North Mills industrial estate, Bridport could be converted into a gym.
Consent for the change of use is being sought for units 5 & 6 at the Edwards Building, on the right hand side of the entrance to the estate.
Locally-based Luke Hayter Fitness is asking to use the building from 6.30am to 9.30pm on Monday to Friday and 7am to 12pm on both days at the weekend. His application says there will be little change to the exterior of the building, and he says the self-contained site has adequate parking.
The application is expected to be decided by a Dorset Council planning officer using delegated powers.
Mr Hayter has been running health and fitness sessions locally for ten years as a personal trainer and is a 2018 Dorset Echo Industry Awards winner.
