The team at Charmouth Community Library has launched a short story competition for both visitors and residents.
Have a go and enjoy the challenge of writing a complete story in only 50 words.
There are no restrictions on topics, style or presentation, but must be English and unpublished work, and it has to have a beginning, middle and end.
There are three classes with prizes of £50, £20 and £10, which include those under 12, those under 18, and one open to all ages.
It costs £2 to enter - with forms available to download from charmouthcommunitylibrary.digitalfox.uk where more information is also available or from Charmouth shops - and forms must be returned to Charmouth Library by September 30.
Judging and prizegiving will take place in October.
