A music charity will be getting a boost from a west country festival this summer.
B Sharp, based in Lyme Regis, has been selected as one of the two charity partners for Farmfest, held at Bruton in Somerset from July 25 to 27.
During the festival, B Sharp - which delivers music workshops, training, performances and gigs for young people in the area - will be running a music workshop in the Kids Kingdom and a pop-up choir for all ages in the Acoustic Sett, along with an interactive karaoke act around the festival. The activities will be led by B Sharp’s music leaders and young music leaders, who will also have the opportunity to talk about the work that B Sharp does with young people.
B Sharp’s director Ruth Cohen said: “We’re grateful to Farmfest who will donate a proportion of the ticket sales fees to B Sharp. This will support us to help young people across the region make music.
“The festival looks great - have a look at the line up and do come and support us.”
The festival promises a mix of music with arts activities, family spaces and local produce.
