Bridport fire crews helped put out a fire on Lulworth Ranges yesterday.
An appliance from Bridport Fire Station, which had been on standby duties at Weymouth Fire Station, was mobilised to Lulworth at about 3.30pm to help tackle to blaze.
Bridport's water carrier was also sent to the scene at 4.15pm.
The fire started around Bindon Hill at about 10am yesterday.
More than 30 firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the fire and ensure that it did not spread.
The Bridport crew were also called to an incident in Wyke Regis while on standby duties in Weymouth.
They went to Dover Road at 12.10pm to an unattended bonfire, but it had already been extinguished when they arrived.
