A meeting of the Dorset Police and Crime Panel was suspended earlier today.
The meeting was reportedly suspended after chairman of the panel, Mike Short, refused to hear protesters complaining about how the police deal with alleged financial fraud.
Mr Short led councillors out of the committee room at County Hall in Dorchester, where the meeting was being held.
The meeting has now resumed after an earlier suspension.
Officers have promised to hear allegations of financial fraud by banks and other institutions and police involvement, or lack of involvement, during repossessions.
