A PARTYGOER smashed a fire alarm, alerting firefighters.
Bridport’s firefighters were called to Bridport Leisure Centre on Saturday evening.
On arrival, they were met by partygoers from an event being held the centre. After investigation, it was found a glass call point had been smashed.
Once management arrived the alarm was reset and crews returned to station.
It was one of many callouts in 24 hours for Bridport’s firefighters.
After dealing with a huge fire at Dreadnought Trading Estate in the early hours of Saturday morning, which took all day to put out, firefighters were called to another fire to the east of the town at about 7.30pm that night.
On arrival, it was found to be a controlled burn, however some of the materials being burnt weren’t suitable for a bonfire.
Advice was given and crews returned to station.
