Residents and businesses owners are being encouraged to find out how they can get faster broadband and save money.
Staff from Dorset Council’s Superfast Dorset programme will be in Bucky Doo Square on Wednesday, July 10, between 12 noon and 2pm, as part of a campaign to help people get cheaper and faster home internet connections.
The uplift in speed isn’t automatic, you must contact your internet provider and ask to be moved over to fibre broadband.
The team will be able to give advice on the best broadband services available in Bridport and West Bay. Please bring details of your current internet provider so they can calculate the savings.
They report that more than 97 per cent of Dorset premises can now get superfast broadband but only around half of homes and businesses in Bridport and West Bay have made the switch.
