A Post Office out-reach service is being opened in Charmouth, following the closure of the village’s Post Office.
Post Office Ltd will be opening the service at Charmouth Library, a temporary solution whilst a more permanent solution is found.
The postmaster for Crewkerne will provide a hosted outreach service at the library every Thursday from 10.15am to 4pm, beginning today (Thursday).
It will offer a range of products and services, including banking for personal customers and small businesses.
Charmouth Post Office closed on May 15 following the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.
Matt Walls, Post Office change manager, said: “We are pleased to be able to reinstate the service as a hosted outreach service in a temporary unit while we continue to seek a permanent solution.”
