Dorset was treated to a special weather event, with a rare pink rainbow forming across the sky.
The rare weather phenomenon could be seen across the county on Monday evening as the sun set.
Jack Hilton managed to get a picture of the event as it formed above Trinity Street in Dorchester at about 8.30pm.
He said he had never seen anything like it before: "It looked like something from a sci-fi film. Like it was another planet."
A pink rainbow is an optical illusion. It can be seen when there is a normal rainbow during a pinkish sunset.
Because the sun is lower in the sky, this creates the effect where only the pink colours of the rainbow are seen.
