A man reportedly headbutted the window of a shop in Weymouth and smashed the glass door after being told the shop was not yet open.
Police investigating the criminal damage incident have issued a CCTV image of the suspect.
A 5.20am on Sunday, June 9 a man attempted to enter the Eats & Drinks store on King Street but was informed by a member of staff that they were not yet open.
It is reported that the man became agitated before headbutting the window. He then punched and kicked the door, causing the bottom panel of glass to smash.
Police Constable Dan White, of Weymouth police, said: “As part of my investigation I am releasing an image of the suspect and would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the King Street area at the time and witnessed the incident to please get in touch.”
