Dorset Council is looking for more carers to foster children of all ages and is holding a drop-in session for those interested to find out more.
Dorset Council’s foster in Dorset team will be at Bridport Youth and Community Centre on June 27 from 3pm to 6pm to talk about all aspects of being a carer.
Dorset Council report that there is currently a particular need to find people who can care for teenagers and asylum-seeking children
Jo Thomson, Dorset Council’s fostering engagement officer, said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone who has ever thought about fostering to find out more without any pressure.
“We’re a friendly bunch and can tell you more about becoming a foster carer - including the fees and allowances you’ll receive, plus the training and ongoing support that we provide.”
