Volunteers are being invited to help maintain the town’s orchard.
Members of Bridport Community Orchard are holding a working party at the site behind st Mary’s Church, South Street, on Sunday (16/6) from 10am.
As the apple blossom is slowly transforming into small apples, with the hope of a bumper autumn harvest to come, there are a variety of tasks to help keep the orchard in shape.
Jobs include cutting the grass, mowing pathways through the grass, weeding of various flower beds, pond and bog garden maintenance, the removal of pernicious weeds and compost turning.
Everyone is invited to join, and refreshments will be provided.
