Hard-working boat builders will showcase their hard work and set sail in their creations for the first time next week.
The class of 2018 students at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis will be launching their boats into the harbour on June 12.
The day marks a celebratory end to the students’ 40-week training and the start of a new chapter in their lives as boat builders.
The seven boats built by the class demonstrate the wide range of construction types and methods they have been working with.
The boats being launched include a sea kayak, a traditional and contemporary rowing boat, a speed boat, a clinker sailing boat, a 21’ fishing boat and a sailing tender.
Everyone is welcome to join the graduates as they launch their boats into Lyme Regis harbour at 2.30pm on Wednesday, June 12.
