MUSIC-loving youngsters are in for a treat, as TV favourite Chris Jarvis hosts a magical orchestral concert in Poole this Saturday.

The CBeebies presenter is teaming up with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to host Fairytales & Fantasy at 3pm on June 8.

Suitable for all ages, the concert will be filled with magic and storytelling as Chris leads an afternoon of musical fun with the BSO performing works including The Firebird by Stravinsky, Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King, music from Harry Potter, and much more.

As well as hosting the concert, Chris who will be singing James Redwood’s Fairytales and Fantasy song said: “As well as being a tremendous introduction to the orchestra for children, this concert will entertain the whole family with nine flights of fantasy captured in some of the most incredible pieces of music ever written; all carefully chosen to show off the versatility of the orchestra and give the show as much variety as possible from John Williams’ Hedwig’s Theme and Stravinsky’s Firebird as well as music by Ravel and Tchaikovsky.”
