Emergency services were called after a gramophone caught fire at home near Bridport.
Two fire engines - one from Charmouth and another from Bridport - attended the scene after a burning smell was reported, a spokesperson from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
"Crews arrived at the property in Whitchurch Canonicorum after receiving a call at 8.55am this morning and discovered a small fire in a gramophone.
"The blaze was extinguished by removing it from the house.
"No confirmation on whether the record on the gramophone was 'Relight My Fire' - but Billy Joel denies any involvement", the spokesperson added.
