Drivers that use an app to pay for parking in Dorset may need to use alternative payment methods as it is having technical difficulties.

When a user tries to purchase car parking, an error message pops up that says "This is not your vehicle."

The issue may be down to an update that users downloaded over the bank holiday weekend.

Travel Dorset has said: "There may be a problem with JustPark which is returning an error message so you may not be able to pay for parking via the app.

"In the meantime, please pay for a ticket via another method (options are available on signs) whilst we get this reported to the supplier.

"This may be a localised problem following an app update over the bank holiday as some transactions are being made.

"If you experience this issue, try uninstalling and reloading the app. Should you be unable to use the app, you must still pay for parking through another method."
