CHARGED: A Charmouth man has been charged following a hit and run in Axminster
A WEST Dorset teenager has been charged in connection with a hit and run.
Police were called on Saturday (11/5) at around 7.40pm to the incident in Lyme Street, Axminster.
A local man aged in his 50s was hit by a car outside the Red Lion Pub before the driver of the car fled the scene.
The victim sustained serious leg injuries and remains in hospital.
Devon and Cornwall Police have charged a 19-year-old male from Charmouth with GBH with intent, arson with intent and driving without insurance.
He is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on June 13.
