Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is urging communities in Dorset to apply for grant-funding of up to £20,000 from its Resilient Communities Fund ahead of the closing date on Thursday, May 23.
The funding is for non-profit making organisations, community groups and charities in SSEN’s southern distribution network area, which includes part of west Dorset.
An independent panel, made up of representatives of community and charitable organisations with expertise in community resilience planning, alongside members of SSEN’s management team, will decide which projects are to receive grants from the Resilient Communities Fund. Decisions on each application will then be made in the autumn and communicated directly to successful applicants.
Guidelines and applications forms, along with a full report on the fund, are available on SSEN’s website ssen.co.uk/RCF/.
