A 14-year-old boy has been found with suspected cannabis at the town’s skatepark.
Bridport Police conducted an operation at the skate park on Thursday, May 9 at around 5pm where they stopped and searched five people.
The boy was found to be in possession of what was believed to herbal cannabis and taken to Bridport Police Station for an interview.
A spokesperson for Bridport Police said: “The Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team and intelligence officers carried out an operation at the skate park near to Bridport bus station in response to information suggesting drug dealing was taking place in the area.
“A total of five people were stopped and searched, including a 14-year-old boy who was found to be in possession of what was suspected to be herbal cannabis.
“The boy attended Bridport Police Station for a voluntary interview with an appropriate adult and has been released under investigation as officers continue to make enquiries.
“We will continue to work to tackle suspected drug-related activity in the area and are grateful to members of the public for their help and assistance.”
