[The election] was a great day for the Green Party in Dorset.
Four Green councillors were elected onto the new Dorset Council, including (I’m proud to say) myself as one of three councillors representing Bridport.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted for me, and pledge to work as hard as I can to represent the views and concerns of all progressive minded people of Bridport.
But not only that, four Green councillors were elected onto Bridport Town Council. So again, I would like to thank the good citizens of Bridport for your support.
We will work to harness the energy and creativity of this great town, and endeavour to make it not only an even better, more vibrant town, but a greener and more equal one.
KELVIN CLAYTON
Chair West & South Dorset Green Party
