A STREET food festival is returning to its favourite seaside town for a second time this summer.

Dorset Street Food Festival, run by Street Food Warehouse, will be back in Lyme Regis from July 12 to 14, bringing a range of different food and drink.

The weekend will be a haven for foodie fans and will once again take place on the roof above the amusements and Swim.

Running from 12noon to 10pm on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a range of cuisines from across the world will be on offer, from gooey mac ‘n’ cheese, Morrocan delights, seafood and sweet churros as well as craft beer and cocktails.

Furzeleigh Down Dairy, West Country Dim Sum, Idelica and The Monmouth Table are just some of the street food vendors confirmed, with many local and national vendors yet to be announced.

Catering for all with vegan, gluten free and vegetarian food, there will be something for everyone.

The festival is free to attend and ideal for the whole family.

Event organiser Tudor Barber said: “We are really pleased to be bringing the team back to our favourite seaside town for a second year of foodie fun in the sun.

“Dorset Street Food Festival 2019 is going to be a huge one, watch this space.”

Street Food Warehouse has been running street food events since 2015 and branched out into festivals in 2016, bringing the event to Lyme Regis for the first time in 2018 over the late May bank holiday weekend.

The event was so popular, with around 15,000 people passing through, that the majority of the vendors sold out every day.
