A seagull became tangled in netting, resulting in a rescue operation.
Firefighters from Bridport station were sent to Princess Road, Bridport, this morning to help the RSPCA rescue the seagull that had become trapped in netting on a roof.
Crews pitched a 13.5m ladder and then used a roof ladder to access the bird. After cutting it free it was placed into a bag and brought down to the RSPCA officer who then removed the rest of the netting and took the bird away to examined and released.
