A WEST Dorset women’s target to raise £5,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society has been exceeded, but donations for the charity are still welcome.
Debbie Jones, who works at Bridport Leisure Centre, has held numerous fundraising events for the charity, including a dog walk, hula hoop-a-thon, spin classes and a Christmas raffle.
The most recent event was a coffee morning, helped by her mother Brenda Rushen and three daughters, Connie, Ana and Eva.
It raised more than £400 for the charity, which will go towards her fundraising for the London Marathon on April 28 and a London to Paris bike ride in July, both in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Debbie said: “Total fundraising has exceeded my original target of £5,000 and I am so thankful of the generosity from the people of Bridport and of course my family.”
