A MAN has been arrested in connection with a reported assault and series of burglaries in west Dorset over Christmas.
The assault was reported to have happened at the Esso petrol station on East Road, Bridport, at around 1.30am on Wednesday, December 26 2018, with the burglaries taking place in Lyme Regis at the Ocean View Restaurant on Marine Parade, Boots and the Red Panda on Broad Street over the Christmas period.
An alarm was also set off at Arthur Fordham and Co on Broad Street but no entry was gained and nothing was stolen.
A 31-year-old man, of Grays in Essex, has been arrested on suspicion of assault, burglary and attempted burglary and has been released under investigation as officers continue to make enquiries.
