Tell the fire service if you're having a bonfire.
That's the message from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service which wants people to alert the service if they are having a 'controlled burn' so fire engines aren't sent out to investigate.
At the weekend the brigade sent out three fire engines due to a report of smoke from a property which turned out to be a bonfire.
"These are three appliances that could've been used elsewhere," a brigade spokesman said.
If you're having a controlled burn call the service on 0306 7990019.
