GROVES Nurseries in Bridport is inviting experienced and aspiring gardeners the chance to ask some of Dorset’s horticultural experts anything about gardening.

Gardener’s Question Time will take place at the Ivy House on March 21 from 6.30pm and will welcome a panel consisting of award winners and Chelsea exhibitors, with Clive Groves as the chairman.

The panel includes David James, from Beaminster-based Marshall James which has competed twice at the Chelsea Flower Show and won a silver and gold medal, Nigel Hewish, the head gardener at Kingston Maurward who has overseen the restoration of the 35 acres since 1990, and Stephen Griffith, curator at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens who has overseen the gardens for the past 27 years.

Questions to be asked on the night can be submitted by picking up a flyer by the tills in the garden centre.

The evening is in aid of children’s charity Greenfingers, which creates gardens for children in hospices, offering them a place to play or sit with family.

Tickets can be booked by visiting www.grovesnurseries.co.uk
