WORLD Book Day returns tomorrow (Thursday) to celebrate authors, illustrators, books and reading.

Schools across Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis will enjoy a range of activities such as dressing up as their favourite book character and exploring the world of books and reading.

If your school is taking part in World Book Day, send us your photos to news@bridportnews.co.uk

The team behind World Book Day will send tokens to the schools to enable the children to have a book of their own to pick up at a local bookshop and take home and read.

The national day is all about getting kids closer to the books and authors they already love and letting them discover even more books and authors.

This is the 22nd year the celebration has taken place and is marked in more than 100 countries all over the world.
