A man has been hit by a car.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to Ash Lane in Salwayash this morning.
They were called shortly after 11.30am to reports of a collision between a Land Rover and a pedestrian.
Eyewitnesses say the air ambulance landed at a field within the Pineapple Business Park.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We sent two land ambulances and an air ambulance to attend the incident.
"A male patient was transported by land ambulance to hospital."
A spokesman for Dorset Police said injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
The road has since reopened.
