A NEW health food store has moved in to Bridport’s high street.

Grape Tree has more than 100 stores across the nation and offers a range of natural whole foods, drinks and supplements.

The company was set up by the team that launched the Julian Graves chain in 1993, which became a 350-store, £75million turnover business, which had a branch in Bridport.

It was subsequently sold in 2003 before collapsing in July 2012.

But now the founders are back with a new chain said it was “great” to have opened their 115th store in Bridport.

Nick Shutts, CEO of Grape Tree, said: “We are the reincarnation of Julian Graves who traded very well in the town some years ago.”

The store has moved into the former Cilla and Camilla premises in East Street and is open from 9am to 5.30pm between Monday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

The health food store offers dried fruits, nuts and foods, as well as vitamins, minerals and supplements.
