GUESTS are invited to enjoy a meal in the dark at an event to raise awareness of a sight loss charity.

Dorset Blind Association is organising its Dining in the Dark event for a third year.

It offers an opportunity for people to test their senses with a six-course meal in very low light conditions, which aims to simulate dining with a visual impairment.

Guests can enhance their dining experience by being completely blindfolded, to experience something near what it’s like for people with total sight loss. All proceeds from the event will go to Dorset Blind Association.

The charity is teaming up with catering students at Bournemouth and Poole College to run the event at Escoffier Restaurant and Coastline Brassiere on the evening of Thursday, March 21.

Tickets are £37.50 per person and should be booked in advance.
