VAUXHALL retailer, Lanehouse Bridport, will be getting a £200,000 redevelopment in the coming weeks to upgrade its workshop and facilities.

The three-month project will enable the dealership on Shoe Lane in Bradpole will be extended to enhance the dealership.

The redevelopment will include the installation of the latest equipment in the onsite workshop, extend its capacity to cater for more customers as well as an extra working bay with a five-tonne ramp.

The scheme will also be adding a valeting bay and extending the parts department to offer more services and hold more stock.

Dominic Avery, director at Lanehouse Bridport, said: “Over the next three months there will be a lot of work taking place to ensure we continue to meet our high standards.

“It is a very exciting time for the dealership and this great investment will not only allow us to provide customers with a better retail experience, but it will also create an even more efficient working environment.

“The past year has seen many of our competitors close, leaving local motorists with less trusted places to take their car.

“We see this development as Lanehouse investing in the local community, offering Bridport customers somewhere they can ensure they will receive an honest and satisfying service. Not only that, because of the growth at the dealership, we will also be looking to hire an additional technician.”

Lanehouse Bridport will continue to operate as usual while the redevelopment takes place.
