MORE than £700 was raised for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance by last year’s Cold Turkey Run.
The event, organised by Bridport Bike Club, had a record number of bikers - more than 70 - turn out for the 53mile ride on December 30.
Starting from the Crown Inn in Bridport, bikers rode to Barleymow’s Snowdon Hill in Chard before returning to the Crown for a raffle.
This was the seventh annual Cold Turkey Run, which takes place between Christmas and new year.
A cheque for £720 was presented to representatives from the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The Bridport Bike Club consists of a group of like-minded bikers who meet on the last Sunday of the Month at the Crown Inn at 7pm.
