Snow and ice are expected to hit west Dorset.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for tomorrow as temperatures are set to drop overnight.

The warning will come into effect at 12pm and continue throughout the night until Wednesday morning.

Rain is expected to turn into snow, the Met Office warns, before conditions become icy.

People are urged to care to prevent injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, particularly on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

Some roads and railways are likely to be affected by longer journey times and bus and train services could see changes.

In Bridport, temperatures will hit freezing at about 11pm tonight (Monday). Tomorrow will see a chilly start to the day but conditions will improve by midday.

Temperatures will plummet at about 10pm tomorrow and another cold night is expected.

Things look better for Lyme Regis, with slightly warmer and consistent temperatures of about 5 degrees.
