THE team at Beaminster Pharmacy want to reassure patients they are working to ensure there is no disruption to supplies of medicines.
It has been reported that patients across the UK have faced delays in getting hold of drugs.
According to the BBC, pharmacists are struggling to obtain many common medicines including painkillers and antidepressants.
There are 80 medicines in such short supply that the Department of Health has agreed to pay a premium for them, but there are concerns that uncertainty over Brexit will make the situation worse.
The Hogshill Street pharmacy is part of the Abbey Pharmacy group and a spokesperson said: “If you have heard the recent news on Brexit and medicine supplies, just to let you know we are working hard to make sure that there are no disruptions to supplies.
“We would suggest you make sure you order your prescription in plenty of time, but if you have any concerns, speak to a member of our team.”
