DORSET Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information on the following crimes to contact them on 101, quoting the relevant crime number.

Sometime overnight on Tuesday, January 8 and Wednesday, January 9, a quantity of lead was stolen from St Peter’s Church roof.

Ladders would have been used to do this and would have taken some time.

Members of the Beaminster Area Team are also urging anyone who spots anything suspicious around their church buildings, such as people on the roof, to contact the police.

Between 6.15pm on Monday, January 14 and 5.05pm on Tuesday, January 15, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Land Rover Defender parked in West Allington. Crime number 55190008147.

Overnight on Sunday, January 13 and Monday, January 14, a catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Rav4 parked in Crock Lane. Crime number 55190008747.

A catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that converts toxic gases and pollutants in exhaust gas into less-toxic pollutants.
