A man from Portland will go before Crown Court in connection with the alleged unlawful supply of Manila Clams.
Richard Carlyle, 74, of Verne Common Road on Portland, gave no plea to the nine alleged charges he faced at Weymouth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 21.
He will be facing prosecution by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council for four alleged breaches of the Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013.
He will also be facing prosecution by Dorset County Council for three offences under the Fraud Act 2006 and two offences under the Food Safety Act 1990.
Mr Carlyle will go before Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, February 21.
