EAGLE-eyed viewers will be able to spot a Portland landmark on TV tonight.

Happy New Year, Colin Burstead which was filmed at Pennsylvania Castle will be shown on BBC2 at 10.30pm.

The black comedy tells the story of a man, who plans to prove his worth to his extended family by throwing them a lavish New Year party at a stately home in the country.

However, when his estranged brother appears, his status as the man of the hour is threatened and drama unfolds.

The TV film is directed by Ben Wheatley, with a backdrop of the castle and estate grounds, as well as surrounding locations on Portland.

Actors and crew spent time on location on Portland and stayed on the estate while filming.

A spokesman for Pennsylvania Castle Estate said: "We are delighted to announce that the eagerly anticipated Ben Wheatley drama – Happy New Year Colin Burstead is set to air on BBC2, on Sunday, December 30 at 10.30pm.

"Happy New Year Colin Burstead tells the story of its lead character who hires a lavish castle for his extended family to celebrate New Year. The backdrop for this black comedy is Penn Castle and the Estate grounds, as well as surrounding locations on Portland, bringing the spotlight to the most southerly point of the Jurassic Coast.

"The entire cast and crew took over Pennsylvania Castle Estate for the two-week film schedule, where the team also managed accommodation and catering. Top names such as Neil Maskell, Charles Dance, Richard Glover, Joe Cole and Sam Riley spent time on location on Portland, whilst staying on the Estate for the duration of filming.

"We’re looking forward to watching the drama unfold, and of course keeping a look out for local locations.”
