West Dorset district councillor for Broadwindsor and district, Jacqui Sewell, has been able to give a surprise boost to Dorset's police force.
She presented Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill, with a cheque for £95.93.
The money comes from when Cllr Sewell served in the Dorset police force and was the treasurer of the Bridport section social committee.
She was sorting through old paperwork and discovered an old bank statement from the committee and was able to release the balance and present a cheque to Dorset Police.
Mr Underhill said that the money would be utilised in the Bridport area as that is where the money originated from.
