Tomorrow sees the return of one of Weymouth's quirkiest events - and it's a great way to get some fresh air and burn off some calories in time for Christmas.

Chase the Pudding, returning to Weymouth beach tomorrow (Sunday), is also all for a good cause, raising money for the Will Mackaness Trust, which enables all youngsters, regardless of their circumstances, to enjoy getting out and about on the water.

Here's what time everything is happening:

  • Registration begins at 9am in the Ocean Room of the Pavilion. Pick up your Santa suit and get ready!
  • At 10.45am a mass warm-up will take place on the beach.
  • At 11am the runners set off on a 5km route along the beach, with Santas chasing three Puddings who were last year's winners.

Other useful information

There's ample parking at Weymouth Pavilion.

Dogs on leads and under tight control are welcome.

Online registration ended on Wednesday, but you can register on the day. Entry costs £15 for adults (with a Santa suit), £10 (for adults without a Santa suit), £5 for under 16s (who can come along in their own fancy dress) and £3 for under 14s (who can take part in a 2km Chase the Elf run).
