As a person with limited mobility, who uses a wheelchair to shop, I am used to inaccessibility.
Even if you can get in the door, many shops are so cluttered that you can’t get any further.
Peach Electricals in Bridport is a shop where the staff make a difference. The front door was too narrow for my wider than average wheelchair, so I said I would wait outside in the sun, while my husband helped my father with a purchase.
Seconds later a lady sprinted from the shop. She had seen my failure to enter and offered to move an appliance so the other half door could be opened and I could go in.
She was so friendly and welcoming and really brightened our day.
