A man and two dogs were rescued from a speedboat following a breakdown at sea.
The skipper of a 16 foot speedboat and his four-legged companions were rescued by the volunteer crew of the Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat yesterday (Monday, October 22).
The man's vessel brown down two miles off Axmouth.
A lifeboat was launched at 2.26pm and the crew towed the speedboat to the safety of Lyme Regis Harbour.
The incident was the 34th emergency call answered by the Lyme Regis volunteer crew so far this year.
The RNLI charity saves lives at sea, with volunteers providing a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
