My wife Samantha, from The Alleyways, and myself, from Bridport Antiques, would like to take this opportunity to thank you all – individuals and companies – for your amazing support and generosity.

When we both decided to Brave the Shave and set ourselves a massive target to raise £1,034 each.

This would fund a Macmillan nurse for two weeks, providing essential medical, practical and emotional support to people living with cancer and their families when they need it most.

A week before the big shave we thought we had been over ambitious, but going in to the evening of September 15, we were getting close to our target.

Our thanks also go to Graham and Jacquie Taylor, who hosted our shave at the Tiger Inn, Bridport, and Lacey Goodrick of Designers Edge, also in Bridport, who bravely shaved our heads.

It was an amazing evening and the donations topped £500 on the night, which took us well over our target.

Donations have still been coming in and we will break through the £3,300 barrier giving Macmillan enough for a Macmillan Nurse for three weeks and a Macmillan social care worker for two days.

On September 28, Stella and Anya hosted a coffee morning at Bridport Antiques for Macmillan.

With their cakes, scones and hot sausage rolls, they raised more than £180.

We can’t name you all but please know how grateful we are for your support and generosity.
